A great new review of B2 (in German) just came in:
http://www.releasetime.de/test-2caudio-b2/
Check it out!
I'm always impressed by ReleaseTime! They just do wonderfully thorough work!
Now some sleep, then I am going to pretend I am 15 years younger than I am and go to this craziness:

Anyone happens to be going there and wants to say hi, send a PM...

Nice review! I must agree with most of it. It inspired me straight to make another space trip with a lot B2´s. Each track (13 here) got an own B2 here It begins with light but then falls into darkness again (I really love dark space sounds to death).

I own a majority of what would be considered "the top" reverb plugins, but nearly every time I compare them all, I end up going back to using B2.... because it sounds so darn good. My only minor gripe would be its high CPU consumption when comparing to everything else I've tried. Although, with CPU's getting more powerful all the time it's almost becoming a moot issue. B2 was money well spent, and it has paid for itself many times over in the 3 years that I've owned it.

The same case here. I simply couldn't find anything that sounds like this:
https://soundcloud.com/dens-place/b2-sustain-hall
This preset use special filter that you will not find in the user manual (still).
It is about sustain. (AP M4)
This preset is in the attachment.

Some synth and string sounds transformed into a space drone via lots of B2´s. I really like the dark side of B2

Really nice work. Yes, the dark side of the B2 is really interesting but only with two engine presets.
One engine presets are always bright somehow. Probably ER are too dominant on this way. However A+B engine can really sound dark.
Nice music on your Soundcloud profile by the way.

I recently purchased B2 and am in learning mode. I've read through the manual a couple times now and have taken some notes .. and I thought as a fun experiment, I'd try and duplicate Audio Damage Eos's superhall in B2. So far, I haven't been able to come very close.
The settings in Eos:
Predelay: 42ms
Size: 50.7m
Decay: 10s
Modulation depth: 0%
Attack: 1.00
Diffusion: 1.00
Low cut @ 20, High cut at 20.0k, no mult.
44% mix
This makes for a pretty ridiculous SH: https://clyp.it/m1wv2jxt
Is it possible to get that crazy in B2? The closest I've been able to come is: https://clyp.it/3mmvko4t
The preset for my attempted crazy SH is available here.
Any tips for making B2 a bit more .. ridiculous?
Edit: On a side note, I found this humorous:
PRELIMINARY VERSION: 0.2 09/20/2012
Manual will be continuously updated over the next couple weeks.

Aether is completely different style but sometimes I prefer for the lush tails for guitars..
If you don't have the latest presets that I posted here: https://www.gearslutz.com/board/11091682-post1002.html
There are some really nice presets for Aether.

I agree! Aether is the king when it comes to really slow evolving tails. Whatever i do with B2 (or other reverbs) nothing can shape such smooth reverb tails.Den* wrote:Very nice.Cinebient wrote:So.... after some darker stuff i thought i try the bright side of B2 (plus Aether and Breeze).

Hi All. I recently got the 2caudio reverbs. they really are more than reverbs - more like acoustic space emulators. I've used them on some tracks recently. All the reverb is Aether and B2.
http://soundcloud.com/musicofplexus/rinse-dream-repeat
and I entered a mix contest where I used B2 on the end of the phase "... believe in." in the middle and end of the song (the long dramatic reverb tail)

Another simulation for B2, single engine patch.
This could be the most close preset to the Lexicon 480 Large Hall.
I made a custom Large Hall first on 480, and after that I simulated it on B2.
I really like it.
