Apollo MIDI over Bluetooth (iOS) is free for a short time.

Allows MIDI connections between Bluetooth LE enabled iOS devices, can also connect to Macs (with free App in Mac App Store). Not sure about PCs.

I tried it between my iPad and iPhone and latency is very good (i.e. not noticeable).

EDIT: I bought it and there are a couple of bugs in the full version which aren't in the free one. Nothing major but niggles when loading kits through DropBox. Also, there doesn't seem to be an obvious way to contact the devs on their site. I had to find their email address on KVR.

I keep looking at this app (have done for a while now), but have been weary about buying it & investing in the all sounds pack after what happened with Camel Audio & Alchemy … though €25 for it all is tempting.
