It's cool man, he's using the scientific name for the instrument. The kids are comfortable these days doing that.Orbit-50 wrote:Dude, watch your mouth. This is a pubic forum.maschinelf wrote:Definitely the vuvuzela
That said, I have no idea where all of this pennywhistle and vuvuzela hate is coming from, they're both fabulous instruments. When I was a kid one of my cousins had a vuvuzela. Whenever we'd visit, we'd run off into the back forty with our instruments in tow and find a nice shady spot. I'd bust out my pennywhistle and she'd get down with her vuvuzela and we'd make beautiful music together.
She had way more talent than I did though, I'd wear myself out and want to take a nap but she would just grab my pennywhistle and go to town on it. I swear that girl could pretty much play any instrument put in front of her.

80's saxaphone. Ugh.

And a close second is Rick Astley without his trusty auto-tune.

Felt exactly the same way until i heard 'Joyrider' by 808 State. Now my mind is open to the wonderfully hideous sound of the 80's sax.bmrzycki wrote:80's saxaphone. Ugh.
Edit: Though technically the album came out in the 90's it still has that 80's vibe to it IMO.

The vuvuzela ranks right up there. Terrible terrible object that thing. I will not even dignify it with the title of instrument.

For me, a softly played sax. sounds really horrible to my ears.
But strangely, in a few tunes, where it has got some kind of distortion, I really like it.

Cheap shot, but it does teach you something: conviction just isn't enough.

But, I sure hope nei nei is rolling in the green for here 25M views, as such I don't feel bad in giving her yet another showing. I feel like I'm trying too hard to sound good, the money is in sounding bad.

There's so much win in this video I just don't know where to begin. Middle aged men playing excellent instruments excellently and a sweet hottie in a red tablecloth shirt that screams, I am just as excellent in the kitchen, yodeling her heart out while smiling the entire time. Oh, and the young(er) men are playing anemic parts in the background.
