I've been looking around for some deals on plugins, mainly synths like Omnisphere 2, Iris 2, Serum, etc. Seems like most of these only go on sale 1-2 times a year at most, and it's pretty much impossible to find discounts unless you're willing to try the 2nd-hand license transfer route.

But then I come across this online store www.timespace.com, which apparently is based in the UK. I was surprised to see that they offer many top titles at pretty deep discounts (like 20% or more). For instance, they have Komplete 10 for just over $400 US and Omnishpere 2 is only $333. Now certainly, shipping would be an issue to the US but several of their products are available via direct download, which would eliminate shipping costs. Sadly, they only ship Omnisphere within the UK/Ireland, which sucks for me. But I am highly consider other downloadable purchases such as Iris 2, which is only about $123 US.

My question is, has anyone purchased from this company? Are they legit? It just seems to be a bit weird to me that almost everywhere has the same exact prices on these items but this one place has prices 15-40% off retail... this naturally makes me suspicious, but maybe they are legit. Any feedback would be appreciated.

Ditto. They've been around at least 15+ years. I've bought from them many times. Good company.

Even more oldskool than that - they are a sample cd company from the 90's

Indeed. (roughly) Zero-G (DBA) Time+Space. 1992-97.

They pioneered using "samples/loops" (primarily in studio sessions) and the resultant "CD sample library" industry was born.

$333 for omni is a huge saving. wow. I wonder if one were to email them and say they don't want the shipped product just the serial and they can get download links for the data now at spectrasonics. Way cheaper than buying $500 direct at spectra.

Omnisphere 2 is £278.00 which is $402.12 in EU.
I guess you don't pay VAT.

But you don't get that sweet USB-card.

Yes, at that price it is very tempting to inquire further about the possibility of a download + serial vs shipping method. As soon as I upgrade my Live 9, this will hopefully be my next purchase if I can get a good deal like this. If anyone contacts them to ask about this, please post it here.

Where they offer both boxed and download versions they normally list both, with a link to the other. As in (picked at random):
