Hi:
I am guitar player in need of some help with a midi problem. I want to be able hold a midi note or chord played by my guitar and then play my guitar over the held note or chord either using an audio signal or another midi instrument.
How do I accomplish this task?
Regards,

Maybe a sustain pedal will work? You then probably need to do something in whatever receives the midi because it needs to interpret this in a bit unconventional way.
If you engage the sustain pedal, usually not only the current held notes but also the ones played during the pedal is down will be sustained until you release the pedal. I actually don't know how this is sent by midi controllers, there are seperate midi commands for NoteOff and Sustain On/Off.
Maybe your guitar-midi interface can help with this. What do you use for that?

We are the KVR collective. Resistance is futile. You will be assimilated.
