I use a Windows based system to play live. And have been for quite a while. I use brainspawn forte as a host (Windows only). As much as I love forte, I think Mainstage will work just as well if you're bound to Mac. But on Windows there's no competition IMO.theEmbark wrote:What kind of specs and or laptops do you guys use for live performance? I'd imagine as much ram as you can get and then the fastest i7?
Having a windows based live rig is not a big deal as long as it does what I need it to and does it at the top of its game.
Thanks for all your help,
Kevin
Hardware-wise it's: Windows 7 64-bit, quad core i7 Lenovo laptop, 16GB RAM, 2 SSD's (replaced the DVD drive with a second SSD, no HD's), RME Babyface.

I'm going to play with main stage a bit. I kind of gave up on it a while ago then forgot I had it
Thanks,
Kevin
