Live crashing when reloading Synthmaster 2.8 onto same track

Running Live 9.6.1 64-bit on Win 10. Loaded Synthmaster 2.8.4 64-bit into a track. Double clicking Synthmaster2 in the plugin list to reload into the same track causes Live to crash. Workaround: delete plugin from track first, then load the instance of Synthmaster again. Loading Synthmaster to a different track does not cause the problem. I'm not sure if this is a Live issue, but it doesn't happen with any other plugins I've tried.
