Good day. My name is keyzsam and am new in audio/music production
I just got a midi controller cme uf5 as a gift from an uncle but I've been having issues playing back my recordings on reason 5 because it keeps hanging almost all the notes. Please how do I solve this problem. Thank you in advance

I've just googled your problem, and installing the latest USB driver seems to fix this:

BUT: if you have no hanging notes during recording but they do hang on playback, then the cause is not the keyboard but the DAW: Reason 5. Note that Reason 5 is now 6 years old, maybe this bug was fixed meanwhile. (unless you meant Reaper: the latest version is 5 indeed)
If in the recorded midi clip you can see the notes do end, then this is kinda weird.

Yes, try the latest drivers first.

If you're still having problems, you'll likely have to forget the USB connection and go Midi-out to your computer. The keyboard and some basic features (pedals and the like) should work just fine, but without the drivers, you will lose the "extra" controls like transport and probably the knobs/sliders. Since you're just starting out, the keyboard is the most important part anyway.

Unfortunately, for the midi-out option you will need to buy a basic midi cable/interface to connect the keyboard through midi to your computer. Something like this:

(I should mention that I don't have any direct experience with this cable, I just picked the cheapest one. However, it does have good reviews, and is an amazon best seller, so it's probably worth it if you want to get the keyboard working through midi).
