Amazing sound upgrade! There are so many freeware "Odyssey" emulations out there but ALL OF THEM (including the one chosen for the "One Synth Challenge" for which "T-C-M" seems to be ignored) fail on doing FM via the S/H Mixer. This is not the case with T-C-M, any available modulation gives a true analog final sound, you've got all those classic KLINGS and KLANGS without strange digi-noises or aliasing at all. Operating the Sequencer in real-time is so realistic that you can't believe you're using a software. I can't wait for the mark III that was just announced. Yes, it is a 32-bit plug for Windows/Wine Linux and it rocks! :tu:

There are many added features in the latest "T-C-M" version compared to the one submitted for the "Developer Challenge". We have just updated the FAQ in order to give users enough help on using our software synthesizer.

Hang on! (T-C-M III is coming soon)

This is a must-try for anyone into old school sequences. Design is intuitive and really well thought out, I made instantly some beautiful stuff worth saving. Just add some gentle saturation and a delay while checking the synth out!

Some things I wish you could consider for next version:
- main output volume
- a version without hardwired MIDI CC routings (I'd prefer using MIDI learn instead of building a dedicated mapping for my controller)
- the knobs could be slightly bigger
- would be useful to be able to modulate the mixer channels
- 64 bits ;-)

all in all a very nice machine, thanks!

Thank you so much for your comments!

Use the second slider under the 'Amplifier' (only the 'Amp Gain' used for continuous sounds bypass it).

Not at the moment, but if there's a GForce Oddity MAP in your controller you're almost done.
.jon wrote:- the knobs could be slightly bigger
Hang on, T-C-M III is in the works featuring slightly bigger pots instead sliders.
.jon wrote:- would be useful to be able to modulate the mixer channels
Thanks for the suggestion, we will think if T-C-M really needs something like that.
.jon wrote:- 64 bits ;-)
This is a hosting problem and nothing to do with the SOUND. Apart from Ableton, MOTU and PreSonus, there are hardly any developers of 64-bit hosts not providing backward compatibility. The user should not be forced to stop using their favourite tools because of the whim of a company (or being forced to buy a third-party solution).

LMMS

Luckily, developers who do not provide backward compatibility are becoming less, including Ableton, MOTU and PreSonus.

The beta phase is coming to an end and soon we will publish the definitive T-C-M v2.30 including a new factory bank with 128 patches. Then we will deal exclusively with T-C-M III which is also nearing completion. These days we had some queries about whether T-C-M serves as a DrumSynth so we made some soundclips to demonstrate the generation of monophonic percussion patterns. Only T-C-M II without effects was used for the clips.
