I'm on Ableton 32-bit, looking for nice free oscilloscope to investigate the peaks, dynamics and the like. Preferably lightweight.

Also, is there such a thing like Rekordbox waveform display which also shows spectrum by color?

Check these out: http://www.kvraudio.com/product/s_m_exo ... ix/details and http://www.kvraudio.com/product/signal_ ... _by_rs_met

My favorite one is this though, which is available as magware on the CM studio software: http://www.kvraudio.com/product/vps-sco ... nd/details

Robin Schmidt's Signal Analyzer is the simplest and best I've used IMHO. Specially the spectrum analyzer in it. Has all the things you need without any fancy distractions. Does what you want with almost zero tweaking. I can't recommend it enough.

Advice is heavy. So don’t send it like a mountain.

You might want to keep an eye on Signalizer (free) also: viewtopic.php?f=6&t=461414

The new best value in metering AFAIC...

Fully featured FFT Spectrum Analyser.
Octave, 1/3rd Octave and 1/12th Octave displays.
2D and 3D Spectrographs.
Lissajous and Oscilloscope displays.
Phase Meter and Correlation Meter.
1/3rd Octave RMS Analyser.
Phase Spectrum analyser.
Chromatic tuner.
ITU1770 Short-Term loudness history and histogram display.
Full ITU1770 / EBU r128 / ATSC A/85 loudness metering support.
Full-screen mode and PNG screenshots.
Freely-resizable UI.

Sorry, got carried away about the DMG one as its pretty awesome IMO.
For free one, there is also MOscilloscope:

Signalizer is not quite an oscilloscope at all (yet), though it's amazing piece of open-source software and I might dig into it. Not only it's the only free spectrogram with logarthitmic frequency scale, but also achieves incredible performance due to optimized GPU rendering :tu:

Did anybody ever though of a scope that synchronizes to track tempo, to watch a single bar or beat for example?

The new TrackMeter from DMG does that, one, two & four beat measures to tempo

VPS Scope CM also does it,with even more time options,1/32 up to 8 bars

I found simplest Max4Live utility which does exactly that: http://www.maxforlive.com/library/device/2543/wavescope
