Elgato is releasing the Stream Deck for video game streamers, but this could be very cool for DAWs. 15 programmable buttons with LCD screens that you can configure with your own images/gifs/videos.

You appear to be the first person in the universe to see the DAW potential in this device. I just accidentally came upon this product and think this company is trying to sell to the wrong audience. Definitely going to get one in the next few months. Heck, maybe I'll even buy two. The folder feature is a smart idea.

You can use it to order Pizza with one touch of a button too
You could probably build your own custom version with a raspberry pi, a touchscreen and some Python code

that's like super useful.
Since i mostly want it for Logic i could just use Logic remote... but feel of buttons is too good to pass.

If you were good with coding and robotics you could probably hack one of those robot floor sweepers to bring you beer at the press of a button tooPloki wrote: ↑Mon Jan 07, 2019 1:48 pmpizza?Digivolt wrote: ↑Mon Jan 07, 2019 1:37 pm https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ph7pMGuN-YQ

Bumping and old post, but I just got a StreamDeck XL - have it load unique shortcut keys and macros for Studio One, Live and Bitwig (it automatically loads the right shortcut keyset when you load the DAW).
Its a great bit of kit, highly recommended if you like visual feedback of your shortcuts and use multiple software programs with shortcuts (DAWS, Games, Video/Photo editing or even streaming!)
Just looking for a cool set of DAW ICONS now (currently just have the words written on the keys)
Anyone want to buy an almost new illuminated editors keys shortcut keyboard for Studio One!

A couple from YouTube - there is also now a MIDI send button app (cc, program change etc) outputs via your computers MIDI interface(s) so you can control your hardware as well!

Wow, it's much better than I thought!
Now, it's a serious contender for an ultimate DAW controller. So far I considered only Push and Maschine / Komplete Kontrol as the possible way to cover all needs.
Plus, Stream Deck can handle a bunch of other non-music apps - I am software developer, but also record videos and do lots of other work on my PC.

It's a great tool to get your hands on. Especially for someone who works with multiple pieces of software, both music and art, it translates nicely over different settings.
It's just a slick way of having all of your shortcuts in a single nice package, to be honest.
