Hello,

is there a tool that i can feed with a reference track/sample
and scans the FFT frequency spectrum and
then applies this "frequency footprint" to another track?
I hope this sentence makes sense
I could imagine this could be useful for me.
Thank you!

Greetings

...with track i mean 1 instrument, not the whole song...

This is Fabfilter's Pro-Q2's party piece.

Metasynth does that and it is one of it's speciality & strenght. Not an effect plugin though, but ultra powerful.

A cheap 32bit option is Cloneboy

Amazon: why not use an alternative

ok, sounds close, but i dont know if dynamics will work. Because then you also get harmonies in. I thought just to rip the EQ and its settings from a e.g. bass guitar sound that i like and transport it to my clean bass guitar sound. I guess dynamics like compressor and its settings is a harder game to "copy"

Free Filter was made just for that.
And the beat goes on...

i think a combination of a Match EQ + dynamic spectrum mapper v2

would do it in a usable/not-only-works-for-edm-stuff

If your plugin is a Synth-edit/synth-maker creation, Say So.
If not Make a Mac version of your Plugins Please.

How would you set this up with Metasynth?

never mind, I was thinking Metaplugin.

Theres a similar function in izotope ozone, called match eq iirc

If youre looking for more of a dynamic thing then I would say sounds like a vocoder

MAutoequalizer from Melda does this. MAutoDynamicEq does it too but it isn't as accurate since it isn't FFT based while MAEQ is. Both a good plugins to have.
