Who's gonna have the time to judge all these songs?
Every serious contestant should find the time to do it...
If you listen 5 songs a day you should be done voting until the 15th so not such a big deal.
LMAO. You think all we have are 75 entries?

Who writes your material? LMAO

We sill have 8 hours left in this day and you know late entries are going to be allowed.

75 entries, LMAO
 OK make it 100 it's still something achievable :tu: you listen 7-8 songs a day ;)

anyway made a summary counting and I don't think there are even 75 yet
I thought it is very difficult to vote for so many song, but that before I actually voted! The actual voting is very easy and maybe the best voting system I have seen ;)

Anyway, it's about 30 minutes each day listening. Half of the songs I already listened to, so in short I'm ready for voting even if they become 200 songs :)

Hi folks,
this month was very short, cause I made a journey to sicilia and when I came back, I was offline
It's a little medieval-like track made with an older synth: Model-E from Steinberg. All sounds are made by scratch.

Allright here it goes. Unhappy with the mix. It hasn't enough highend. Somewhat distorted though. Altough i fiddeled with the mastering to an almost masochistic level. So this feels partely like a failure. I like the song though. Its somewhat wierd with the trancelike intro and then the dubstep stuff. I could have easily made two songs out of this one. But I liked the trancepart and I needed an intro anway. Not my first song that turns out like this

Hi! We've been lurking here, decided to submit something with commercial synths and fx. We hope you likes it.

Synth is Serum. Used Live9.

Live FX, Pro-Q2, Ozone 7, OTT, that's about it.

Well, I think the time is done. How do I vote?

Post

100 instances of Synthmaster One processed with Waves complete, Fabfilter complete, Izotope complete, UAD complete, IK Multimedia complete, Melda complete, Hofa complete, A.O.M. complete, DMG complete bundles, am I missing anything.

Stacks of Sausage Fatteners. 8)

Here's my submission.
https://soundcloud.com/574x/574x-trance ... nniversary

I'm kidding, of course. Also, this is half of the track.
The other half is actually uplifting.
10 votes for me to include the other half. I'm joking, I only indirectly create embarrassing polls here. You can vote for fun if you want and I'll do it.

Each half of this part here is ~a dozen TranceDrive synths. Each half often sits at > 90% cpu and ram on this '08 laptop... The mixing is very low cpu; in total, ~a dozen melda equalizers (it's better to have one on each track, at least for analysis), half a dozen reacomps (for sidechaining, bus glue, and the snare in the second half), there's an occasional all-purpose crackling reagate, and reaXcomp parallel slam on a bus.

No "fx." Trancedrive has all I need, baby.

Vol & pan had to be automated where outside of the OSC (or with a new computer) high quality mixing would involve duplicating tracks / bouncing samples.

The mastering unfortunately ended up being more than a ReaComp, Melda eq and Limiter No6 because it got slammed with a bunch of stuff literally last minute so it would sound decent to my fatigued ears... :ud: An untimely demise for a month's work via Panagement, JS: Exciter, OTT, ReaXComp, HY MB Drive as an exciter with a very tight range, like ~200 Hz around ~1.5k, Overtone GEQ, TLs Maximizer, JS: Event Horizon Clipper yeah... free stuff. Like a regular OSC.

One of Trancedrive's strengths is definitely the gate effect which is used in conjunction with the pitch lfos and pitchbending to get a lot of the leads here. IMO it's great at drum synthesis, distorted basses, and heavy fx. 8) I'll eventually post a review of it on its kvr page for people also interested in its substantial drawbacks.

Well here's looking forward to hearing what kind of inspiration people get out of this track. It definitely led to some personal sound design breakthroughs to do the OSC this month, so no matter the struggle or outcome, it's great to participate at the OSC.
