What's the closest plugin doing what EH POG 2 does?

Basically picking up the base notes and allow you to add up/down octaves. Trying some detune stuff as well.
Is it the Melodyne kind of products?
But it's not pitch correcting I'm after as much as an effect and fatten and tweak voice and instruments to something unique sounding.
But if you can do both pitchcorrecting and effect will work.
thought it might be a better investment if in a plugin than as external stompbox.
Greatful for any suggestions you might have!
Thanks.

Not, strictly speaking, an octaver but you might want to check out the free plugin STOLON by novaflash. It has three independent pitch shifters that can be tweaked and mixed in to taste. You can even route midi to it to alter the pitch as you play.

It's tons of pitch-bending fun.

Thank you all.
Looking into your suggestions.
The Loomer thingy looks interesting, but I have to try it. The demo recording was only artificial sounds so one does not know how an instrument or voice would be.

Some modules in SpectrumWorx can do this kind of things.
For example, check out the "Armonizer" module, it adds a pitch-shifted copy of an incoming signal to the original, can shift from -24 to +24 semitones.
Some examples here:

Cheers!

It works with chords and polyphonic signals, human speech, and noisy signals with ease
