They have their place for sure. I more like mean that 7+ minutes of bumtakatakataka is a real pain to listen to IMO.
A song I'm working on now is pretty nice.. Half of the basses are static but so snappy that it makes my ears pop and other half just gets out of hands

I noticed that MEqualizer has a harmonics knob. Wish I could make the nipple follow played key and always get easily boosted harmonics.

Don't use much processing, mostly rely on what is built into the synths.

NI Finger for various glitch stuff
Serum FX
Sugarbytes WOW 2 (for filtering kbbbs in the breakdowns)

Hmmm.. Why filter? Why not just use the eq? I have MEqualizer on bass, cutting from 30hz and I just automate that.

Because it adds a bit of distortion with some interesting character. Typically I render the kbbb and automate the filter sweep over it.

I usually bounce the bass in the very start and use that same one bass sound for the whole track (if that track uses the same bass all the time). So that every bbb has exactly the same transient (i.e. snap). Of course if I aim to do something more "organic", I use non bounced..

Anyways, I have wow2 too so maybe I'd give it a shot.

The bass seems to be a bit out of tune.

I liked it before the triplet part started. In the triplet part itself basically nothing happened and after that part the track became too messy to my taste.
