They say it is because the win/mac downloads can't be
installed on android devices. Mull that one over for a few moments...

In an era where there is more and more cross platform computing,
simple tethering of sundry devices, and all manner of data
flying to and fro through thin air, this makes no sense.
Why would IK care which platform or device was used
to aquire their product(s) which presumably are intended to be
easily aquired, so Custom Shop purchases can then be made?

Unfortunately, the thread was locked just as it was getting interesting.

I suspect there are at least a few folks with both mac and win,
who prefer using the mac for downloads, to isolate a windows computer
from the internet. Or people on coffee/lunch breaks, who see some
new product on their phone browser, and would like to get it...right then,
and tether it when back home.

What if some website did not allow downloading mac software
from windows, or viceversa? Lunacy? Incompetance?
And it assumes some level of hardware version checking, lest how would
it be known, that a mac, an android phone, an iPad, or a pc, or even one of
the new Amigas, was being used? Maybe it's just some shoddy web coding
being covered up by policy statements.

Is there an app to check that earth's axis is still OK?
:hyper:

Cheers

I use the Dolphin browser on Android - it reports itself as a Safari browser. No problems downloading from IKM.
Waves Central and the like are a different matter...
