One has to be of a certain age to appreciate it, and I'm clearly too old for that sh1t. So that's a +1do_androids_dream wrote:Dude.. some thoughts are best left buried in those dusty corners..

Did you sample the same records? The guitar is from Ace Of Spades iirc ...ghettosynth wrote:Love it, I did a short "cover" of this back in the day, complete with rap, it was just for my answering machine. "What time'd you call.."thecontrolcentre wrote:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3dGj9h8ggCc

No no, it was a loose "cover" done in an afternoon for fun. TBH, I don't even remember how I put it together but I do know that I didn't sample the original sources. Come to think of it, I might have just been constructed from samples of the track itself cut where there were no vocals, which doesn't really make it a cover I guess. Well, except for the rap part which I rewrote to make a useful answering machine message. It's been too long, I can't remember the details. I might actually still have it somewhere in a box of tapes. Probably not. I think that it was before I had a DAT machine so I probably mastered straight to cassette because it was also before I had meaningful computer audio. So, chances are I tossed it a long time ago.thecontrolcentre wrote:Did you sample the same records? Enormous Scooter fan here! Personally I think the production on some of the late 90s / Early 2000s stuff is geniusNumanoid wrote:Any opinions about Scooter? Early '95 I thought they were going places

I really dig their first 6 albums. From the next ones, a few tunes only.andymcbain wrote:Enormous Scooter fan here! Personally I think the production on some of the late 90s / Early 2000s stuff is geniusNumanoid wrote:Any opinions about Scooter? Early '95 I thought they were going places
Always wanted to see them live, and almost did one time, but the show was cancelled.

I only realised a few months ago that it was Glen Hughes doing the vocals on this version.thecontrolcentre wrote:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3dGj9h8ggCc

It was like a really bad version of Billy Idol.
