How to make a patch of a sleeping person with ZEBRA?

The inhale and exhale schould be a little bit different.
I don't know if noise alone is enough.
The sound schould be, like a person who is in deep sleep...
maybe a female or a male or both!

The Dark Zebra has several breathing patches just using the Noise source. Play with an MSEG or two and adjust the low and high filters in the Noise source over time. You can get some pretty convincing results from that alone.

You don't need to have The Dark Zebra... just play a bit with the noise oscillator in the way Brian suggested, you'll figure it out
(BUT, definitely do get TDZ because it has great sounds and you get Diva filters in Zebra!!)

Hi Good Dragon, Thank you for your reply!
Is noise only enough? To me it seems that the inhale is different to the exhale...so shouldn't be there a little bit of tone...but what kind of tone?

There are a lot of ways to go about making inhale and exhale different. For example, using an MSEG as your modulation source, you could modulate the cutoff of a high-pass filter, or the parameters of an EQ effect. Or a combination of both. The possibilities are endless. It just depends on how precise you need to get.

And you get the upgrade to Zebra 3 for free!EvilDragon wrote:(BUT, definitely do get TDZ because it has great sounds and you get Diva filters in Zebra!!)
Seriously, purchasing the patches of TDZ is like a private masterclass with Howard on sound design with Zebra. Dissecting some of those sounds taught me so much.

Is every patch from Diva reproducible with TDZ with the same quality?EvilDragon wrote: definitely do get TDZ because it has great sounds and you get Diva filters in Zebra!!)

High quality sound is de facto with u-he, but they are two different beasts...you get Diva filters in TDZ, not the Diva synth.slyte wrote:Is every patch from Diva reproducible with TDZ with the same quality?EvilDragon wrote: definitely do get TDZ because it has great sounds and you get Diva filters in Zebra!!)
Some discussion here about how to adjust in TDZ to achieve similar results as Diva:

I don't make a single peep in deep sleep, so if you emulate that, it should be easy....akira wrote: The sound schould be, like a person who is in deep sleep...

I was intrigued by this - and not having the Dark Zebra - I tried to make a breath sound quickly myself. My patch sounds like a cosmonaut breathing through a space suit....but just imagine that she/he is asleep...in deep space lol:

Thanks. I suppose it sounds like Darth Vader's younger brother. Haha!
