I also think it is, and I think most people in this thread are acting poorly. But trolls being what they are...:
[...]trolling is a status-enhancing activity: by attracting readers’ attention, upsetting people, sparking heated debates, and even gaining approval from others, trolls can feel important, perhaps much more than they are in their real lives. Thus trolling is yet another internet activity that promotes narcissistic motives, since trolls may be expected to be far less successful in attracting people’s attention in the physical world. The only effective antidote to their tactics is to ignore them, but even then trolls won’t suffer a public humiliation because nobody knows who they are. This is what makes trolling so ubiquitous – it requires no skills other than the ability to be obnoxious.

I've already blocked the people (aka trolls) who "reviewed" my plugin without actually owning it. I'll let people who actually bought it (and used it) judge if it's good or not. If they have complaints, I'll do my best to improve it.

The sounds in Modalities are versatile despite the simple user interface and most of them are velocity multi-sampled. You get 162 sounds which is a lot of work saved and the sound are labeled in a way that you can play them along with the original DM tunes. If you compared the sounds to the tunes, you'll see how close they are to their original counterparts.

Modalities is a serious plugin, totally legal unlike the other suggested alternatives in this thread. It's already making the news around the world from important media outlets in the music production field:

Press reviews will be available in a couple of weeks as I've sent a couple of NFR copies of Modalities to the press who asked for it.

So yes, I'm real and as you can see I do things.

I've already wasted enough time in this thread and won't comment anymore.

I'd like to thank the few people who had something nice to say, be it constructive criticism or a neutral look at what happened in this thread.

Post with illegal links in them have already been reported.

Bye!

The promised Modalities review is here:

We do like its stripped-back and cool look, yes, but even an output level would do, as some presets are quieter than others and maybe should be higher. Having said that, it is just $29 and there’s no question of the time Looplords has put into it. A great effort, and how many titles did you get?
8/10 from the biggest music production magazine, not bad.

I love Depeche Mode. I also have no interest in paying money for a sample set "inspired" by their music. I prefer to learn how to make inspired sounds, rather than pay someone for samples that do it for me. Trying to emulate for learning purposes is cool and useful. Just using premade sounds isn't.

Good fun with the punny posts, everyone :-)

I'm not sure MusicTech is the "biggest music production magazine". It's more of a "me too" publication trying to catch some of the beginner market from Computer Music magazine. If Sound on Sound gave you a high score, then you could certainly take some pride.

MusicTech is the biggest one judging by their visit statistics and social media likes.

I'd say segment marketing is the key here. Always stay positive :)

i just downloaded the sex pistols synth plugin; it's perfect. free, 1000 empty presets. no aliasing, no supersaws. no nothing. i just add real guitar, bass, and drums (and a snarl), and i can recreate that sound perfectly.

bring on more artist-specific plugins!
