Hi guys!
I would like to buy an audio interface to use when doing live set of dj set.
I want it small, but with very sound quality. Two outputs are enough, inputs not important.
price range 100-200 eur
any ideas?

Narrative Instruments Traktor Audio 2

You can Google for more reviews from DJ specific sites. It's seems pretty solid. I have one I use with my laptop for mobile Maschine use and it seems fine.

This costs more but should be built like a tank. If it doesn't have ASIO driver see if ASIO4ALL would work with it.

It has one stereo channel output. This would feed the house PA system. Traktor mixes your songs internally down to a single stereo channel output. Double check with the NI Traktor forum, Radial, or whoever you but it from so if it doesn't work out for you the return will be easier.

NI Komplete Audio 6 would be my choice, or the smaller Traktor DJ card. Are you sure you only need 2 audio outs for DJing? I use 4 when DJing with my NI Audio Kontrol 1 (2 out, 2 for cueing). How are you cueing tracks?

Novation Audiohub. Built exactly for what you require. Replacing what you don't need (mic ins midi etc) for a powered USB hub.
It's quite rare to see the multi outs on a smaller studio interface. Which is a missed opportunity especially as many 'studio' users would want them for secondary monitors. Focusrite (Novations sister) do models that are more like the studio interface (MIC ins midi etc) with the dual stereo outputs, what we can utilise for dj'ing. it's like they know something the other manufactures don't.
I suspect in the future we'll start to see more interfaces with the extra outputs, over inputs.

I've been using the Audiohub for sometime now, both outputs into a traditional style DJ mixer. Works a treat.
When i was looking i was surprised at how little it was available. Many of us want that proquality conversion of the studio style interface but for DJ'ing. All that is out there are those cheap tatty lil plastic boxes.

yes sorry I meant 2 dual outputs so 4 in total.
Th audiohub could be ok even though I'm not quite sure about the sound quality(according to some reviews), I'm willing to spend more if the sound quality is better..also I really dont need inputs, preamp and usb ports, just 4 outputs and great sound.
I will continue the search
thanks guys

I contacted Novation over this and they said it has the same quality converters as the focusrite units do.Pi-e wrote:yes sorry I meant 2 dual outputs so 4 in total.

As for the inputs and usb ports. What you are looking for doesn't exist. I've already been there. What you seek is exactly what i wanted. The only other devices are cheap, poor quality things or high quality (like the hub) with Mic inputs, Mic pre's, Inst inputs, HiZ and midi ports.
It's really is a gap in the market. You will not get better quality sound on anything smaller. No one makes it!
