BluecatPatchwork Error with Roland VSTs.jpg
Patchwork keeps getting better. However, I can't get Roland Cloud instruments to run on the Windows Standalone app. Roland Vst2 plugins are authorized but crash Patchwork (64 bit and vsts are 64 bit). Roland Vst3 can't initialize.

Screenshot attached.

Any help would be greatly appreciated (Even if its a confirmation that the Roland vsts are incompatible.) Thanks.

This is indeed a known compatibility issue. For some reasons these plug-ins are crashing. We will have a look at it shortly.

Post

Actually, we have just tested and the VST2s seem to work fine here:

Are you doing anything special when the crash happens?

Post

Nope. Just loading the vst. Nothing else is running. It may be Roland’s fault. I was able to run the vst3 in another host so I know its authorized. Patchwork doe not seem to like these instruments.

Post

This is odd... Have you tried to disable parallel chains and load the plug-ins there, then enable the chains? Sometimes it may help with some plug-ins that cannot processing while opening their GUI.

Post

I will give that a try and report back.

BluecatPatchwork Error with Roland VSTs single row and column.jpg
Unfortunately no change here. I can see the VST briefly then the error appears and the whole program crashes. System does not freeze but programs crash.

Here's the Windows 10 Event Viewer report about the crash. Perhaps it will mean something to you.

Thanks for the details. It looks like the crash occurs inside the plug-in, so there is not much we can do about it - can you maybe open a bug report to Roland (I think they are still in beta stage). Are you using the latest version of Patchwork and their plug-in?

Post

Yes. I’m using the latest version of patchwork. I’ll contact Roland.

Patchwork is still amazing. Thanks for continuing to develop a great program. The effects that were recently added are fantastic.

Post

Forgive the elementary response, but did you already try doing a clean reinstall of your Roland synths? And by clean, I mean checking the registry for any keys related to Roland so there's no trace of it left anywhere?
