Yes, there's a section on how the dials work.

Actually being able to use a synth that does not have dial values such as 9.49999978
is one of the original reasons I made it.

Is it possible to save the wave that is created with the additive oscillator?

No, not yet, but that's a good idea!

Well, now that my major projects are done, I've had time to really dive into this thing and sadly, I'm going to have to put it aside. The ADSR is just too frustrating to work with. Creating pads, where I want a long release, is a nightmare. The GUI for the ADSR doesn't seem to resize. At least I can't find a way to do it. So when you start to increase the release time, it disappears off the grid. I don't mind working with an ADSR where I have to draw each segment, but without being able to make long release times easily, it limits what I can do.

So I'm going to wait until the next release where, and if, this is addressed. Other than that, some minor bugs like the left hand side drop down for the oscillators, filters, etc., from time to time just disappears and I have to reload the synth. But nothing major and no crashes. But the ADSR thing is a deal breaker for my patience right now.

Will be returning to this in the future.

Wagtunes, Sorry if the ADSR GUI is not well designed.

Try the following. Select a dial knob and hit Add Mod.
In the new Mod Slat hit Select Modulator and select ADSR, Check Button.

Then click and drag the very last point outside the entire plugin GUI.
Drag it as far right on your monitor as it will go, and release it.
Fathom will keep track of the relative distance even if the point is outside its GUI.
Click anywhere in the envelope graph and drag the mouse up to expand the graph.

The release end point should now be somewhere in the third period.
Do this once more and the release length will be almost 6 times longer than the rest.

That's a total of 4 click/drags.

If there's an easier way, please let me know and I will make sure it goes into the next release.

I also realized I could make the maximum view width always a few extra periods
longer than the existing envelope. That would probably make things a lot easier.

Increasing the period of the adsr also allows you to extend the release time and keep the whole envelope in view.

I agree, it should have been that way to start with.
Wagtunes, I'm glad you pointed this out.
I will change it for the next release.

I'll try this and see if it helps.

I hope everyone is aware that if you click on an empty space in the envelope graph and drag the mouse upward the view can be expanded to show the entire envelope regardless of how big the envelope is, or how many periods it covers?

Did I forget to put that in the manual?

I might have missed it. That would certainly solve my problem.

Otherwise, I really love the way this thing sounds, which is why I'm a little frustrated. The number of controls in each module is almost mind boggling. I've yet to find a synth with this much fine tuning capability. In fact, it might be too much for those of us who tend to get lost in these things. You know, we guys who can't help turning dials.

Thanks, that's really good to hear.

I will extend the envelope view width to give some expansion room after the end of the last segment, that should do the trick. I'm sure other people have had the same problem and would also appreciate the change.

This reminds me of the first time I saw the Detune page of Fathom. I thought to myself......a jungle gym with a swimming pool.

Sample and hold Fathom style.... awesome
