need some suggestion on a particular genre of music

for quite sometime i have been making dubstep and chillstep type of music
but recentely i fell in love with tis video i watched on youtube

i am willing / give a shot to this 100bpm genre (is this glitch hop?? or some other genre i am confused)
and
and (how/what) are the key features (made)
i mean the layout and sound design
and what vsts i need to use??
(something like glitch ore something??)

hmmm genre lines are so blurred these days, but I'd say it's significantly evolved than something like Excision - Get To The Point (feat. Liquid Stranger).
Phutureprimitive may be more refined with clean melodies contrasting fat synth basses but within the same sub-genre if I were collecting tracks for a DJ set, check out his Kinetic album which has been a great source of inspiration for me over the years. Discogs lists Kinetic under Downtempo, Electro, Dubstep

It can be pretty difficult to pin down key features of particular genres when it comes to the actual sound design - usually it's going to involve spending some time listening to some music of that genre and drawing your own conclusions. As for synths needed, again, it comes down to what you like. Someone could come along and tell you that Spire is the only synth you'll ever need(and a few very well may do that), but if the tonality and capabilities don't mesh well with what you have in your head, it's not going to be a healthy relationship.
