DrMS spatial processor is very cool. Pensado uses it and does a great demonstration of it on Youtube. Search for "How to get WIDE stereo tracks - Into The Lair #117" about 2:15 in.

Well,a track can sound too compressed if you over compress it. You can overdo anything if you go too far with it.
You have to use moderation with almost every plugin effect. They aren't meant to be all or none proposition.

Actually, not many are aware that Waves Vitamin isn’t just a multiband enhancer type thing, but it also does multiband stereo enhancing as well.

Worth a look at.

That's the one I was referring to. I have it.Don't use it much these days but it definitely does what they say it does as long as you don't over do it.

Like any review, Pensado simply gives you a demonstration of what it does and sounds like in real time with a real world example. This isn't about alien mind control making you buy things you don't want. It's ultimately between you,your ears and your wallet to decide.You take what works for you and throw out the rest. That's what I do.

Drms saves some time if you got the budget but you can do all that same work with any mid side encoder plug. Focus and field send mid to side and side to mid. Easy to get setup if you got time to make a couple new channels and get it all goin... better for gain compensation if you use mux or some modular thing and build a preset like that.
