so how many people are now using the new dashboard (version 4)? Saveable set ups!! Hurray!!! So I can now have a "mode" for my modular, one for my oberheim etc. Also I think some of the writing is bigger which is another thing I asked for. Unfortunately the curve graphics are smaller though.

I noticed it in myroli - out on 23rd May. Haven't seen any messages re it and the pdf on the roli site is still for version 3. I am seeing some of the web content updates.

Thanks, never noticed there had been an update, I will grab it now

I didn't either and it seems if you try and do the check for updates from within Dashboard ver 3.x it doesn't pick it up.

Having saveable Presets = Yay! They've included a 'Piano' mode (I also use this for drums/percussion), so that already saves me a bit of fiddling around.

Not so into the gui changes, though. I don't mind the sliders/graphs being smaller, as the new knobs make them much easier to use. However, all the other setting rectangles are too big, relatively speaking, with a lot of wasted space. This might work out ok with a 4k screen, but with a 1080 screen it needs the whole width of the display to show all of the controls. The boxes needn't be so big.

I also wish there was an option to hide the main lattice display. This would also help a lot :tu:

I'm not sure about some of the GUI changes either but the set up presets was a real ommision before - great to see it there.

The save function is a welcome relief.

Next up: the ability to draw expression curves.

Ahhh! I’ve been bugging them for this since I got my Rise! It’s such a pain in the butt to have to constantly go into Dashboard and click a bunch of options every time I want to use a different instrument. I’m wondering... did they include a way to add a threshold to pressure? That’s a big one that I wish they’d add. You can add it in Equator, but most instruments don’t have a way to do that.

I'm assuming no one heard about this from Roli - I wonder why it's not been communicated?

Re the threshold to pressure - if you are on Cubase it might be possible to use MIDI transform - I used that to reset CC 74 to zero rather than a default of 60.

I got a newsletter from them on May 26th called Whats New With Blockd in May:

"Welcome to the first of our monthly BLOCKS round-ups, packed with essential product updates, the latest tutorials and more:

BLOCKS Dashboard becomes ROLI Dashboard
If you’ve updated BLOCKS Dashboard recently, you’ve probably noticed that it has a new name: ROLI Dashboard. Don't be alarmed! When you update your application, all the BLOCKS features you know and love — as well as your saved custom modes — will remain untouched.

We’ve simply streamlined Dashboard into one seamless experience for BLOCKS creators who also use the Seaboard RISE or GRAND. If you have any questions about the update, don’t hesitate to get in touch with our support team."

Well, I’m happy they finally put in presets. That’s a huge help... but then just misses being useful because there’s no way to control the pressure threshold. If you could only get negatives travel on the pressure sensitivity curve it would make the Rise 1000x more useful.

Hm, I’m not sure Bitwig has something like that... I’ll have a look.

Just stumbled across this update now. It's rather frustrating when developers don't send out notices of major updates to their registered users. Oh well, off to download...

I'm a registered user and received the May newsletter with the info about this update

I'm a registered owner too - the May newsletter I got was about the India sounds - I don't seem to have seen anything else.

I don't suppose that newsletter had a link you could share?
