im not really that tech wise im afraid to admit but im tring to hook my virus b into ableton using the roland midi interface i know its something simple any help would be really appreicated

the roland um-one mk 2 is a midi interface

When connected, it should show up as an available MIDI i/o source in your MIDI prefs. Make sure you check the option to send MIDI via it. Then you should see it in your list of MIDI output in the channel. You should make an External Instrument preset so you get a hybrid MIDI/External instrument (analog audio in, from your audio interface).

sounds brillant but my ableton 10 intro dont have the external instrument thing but were on to something

It's just a midi problem now I want to set my midi sync with some hardware

roland um-one mk 2 users? how to set up hardware synths in ableton
