I'm curious about this (the non-pro version), the demos I've heard sound great. I'm willing to put up with the iLok requirement, and trhe current asdle price of $49 is enticing. However, what gives me pause is this from the specs page: "At least 8 GB of main memory is recommended." Ok,l I've got 16 GB of RAM, but for a reason -- sometimes I use a lot of heavy Kontakt libraries. How much RAM does this typically use per instance?

Good update!
Thanks.

Matt,

Can I ask why physical iLok only & no computer based iLok auth?

Thanks
Paul :)

The regular version uses about 100MB on instantiation (running). If you begin to use the longer reverbs (I'm talking 10 seconds and up here), memory will creep upwards maybe to a couple hundred MB max. The pro uses more if you're using the v2 presets. I'm being quite conservative here on memory recommendations, mainly to set the expectation that this is not a super lightweight algorithmic reverb that can be loaded in excess on minimal memory low spec older systems - but if you're on a 64-bit 16 GB system running a handful of standard length reverbs then it's not going to be an issue at all. I don't want to make a massive dent as a percentage of somebodys system memory if they're using lots of long reverbs on a 4GB (maybe 32-bit) system and then start to wonder where all their memory suddenly went.

Pace says it's more secure than host based licensing. I'm being cautious. I recognise and accept that not everybody will feel comfortable using it as a licensing option.

Thanks, I wondered if that was the reason. I don't use a physical iLok as I work completely on a Macbook Pro (only 2 USB ports & don't want to have a hub hanging off the side), I have tried to work with a more permanent setup, but find that my creative process just doesn't work that way!

Where is the update. Demo download shows v1.0.0 and there is no other link I have been supplied with.

Maybe try refreshing your browser cache, it's up at v1.1. Or use these links for the updaters: PC | Mac.

Thanks for that. I have tried refreshing several times since yesterday but still showing 1.0.0. Got it now anyway. Cheers for that.

Perhaps I should have mentioned it is not the Pro version I have.

I've deleted cache and browsing history now. Still showing 1.0.0.

{edit} Looks like my mistake. This thread name threw me a curve ball. Looks like it's only the Pro version got an update.

Yes only the pro got updated because that uses the v2 impulses.

Love the pro version, because it let´s me lock some parameters when changing presets and it´s got a nice big dial for the decay time.
The additional settings and the eq allow for some really nice sculpting. Sometimes just the gain of the mid eq for example feels like a performance crossfader between two different tracks although it is ´just´ a reverb :-D

How do i find out which presets of the update are meant just to use as a send with 100% wet because as i see it the dry/wet does not change when switching presets?

Thank you so much for your work, will most likely buy it.

Only the interior preset set is intended to be used fully wet.

For the interiors, if you want to be changing the placement or room sound it's a case of get to know how the early reflections and early/late roll-off can be used to tweak the nature of those quite specialised environment options. Higher early settings and you'll get a larger or more reflective space, the early/late filters also will be important for affecting the room absorption characteristics, and reverb time the overall damping. It makes sense to limit those to the pro as I think you really need the extra features in the pro to get the best out of them (although they actually all only use the v1 algorithm). These are going to really show the power of M7 reverbs for post production, small size rooms in the vast majority of synthetic reverbs suffer phase issues in the early reflection section when the reflection taps get close together and can sound extremely coloured in the late field; this just doesn't happen on M7, it just sounds like a well built room without any unpleasant resonant modes.

(I is thinks you mean as insert (100% wet).
(no send channel)

Btw..Psst... How much of the low/hi-cut should be used when 7th-Heaven is main short and long reverb of a "song"-project?

Thanks for that. That's fine. I can't imagine using a 10 second reverb for anything! Think I'll bite.
