Hey :)

I want to build a Setup like this:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Oe0GTW2pgDg

my setup

a small Eurorack
a Digitone
a Neutron
a reverb pedal

I want to record that on a tape.

Waht is the best setup for this?
How would you do this?

Would you take an Audio Interface and then send it to a Tape?
Or would you take a Mixer and send it from there directly into a Tape?

I'm really curious :)

Thanks a lot in advance!

Either option would work fine. What tape recorder are you planning to use?

I would use a DAW ;)

What's your attraction to tape? Way too much hassle for me YMMV ...

If you would record from you adio interafce to tape ( assuming your gear goes into your audio interface ) , you get an additional level of unnecesary ad-da conversion
So I would say , mixer straight to tape ..and if you wish to do so , tape to audio interface for back-up/ digital conversion/mp3 etc..
Eyeball exchanging
Soul calibrating ..frequencies
