Messed around with it and couldn't really figure it out. Nothing seemed to get mapped the way I was trying things. And hints would be appreciated.

Ok seriously, anybody know how to use this? It isn't midi learn, which is separate, and I understand how that works. I can't find anything about midi map select in the manual. What the heck is it?

If activated then maps get selected automatically by their MIDI note(s).
Edit: Hope for better definition.

Not sure what you mean. Like you can recall an entire midi mapping setup with a midi note? I don't get it.

It does only change selection and view. That's all.
1. Build 2 maps (key groups) with only 1 note range each. C3 and D3.
2. Activate MIDI Map Select
3. Select manually the C3 map in the editor with mouse.
4. Now you can toggle selection and view between maps by playing C3 and D3 alternately on your MIDI keyboard or TAL Sampler's plugin main keyboard.
