Limiter 6 GE: EL BYPASS not working properly (level drop)

Hey folks. I'm on Reaper 6.27 using Limiter 6 GE at the very end of my signal chain. For some reason the AUTO PAD / EL BYPASS function is not working as expected (as explained in the introduction tutorial on Youtube).
When I activate AUTO PAD the level drops as expected. But when I additionally engage EL BYPASS the level drops another significant amount. What am I missing?

BTW, I'm just using the clipper and peak limiter modules. The output's drive is at zero, ceiling set to true peak.

Can you try to redownload and reinstall the latest version? We possibly already fixed it with a silent update.

Thanks for your reply. I already had been using the latest version. Have downloaded and reinstalled the latest version anyway (Version: 1.2.3, Build date: Feb 9 2021, 06:07:03)

Unfortunately no change of behaviour. Tried both frameworks (VST2 and VST3).

This plugin is killer. If EL bypass would work this would be the ice on the cake.

I am just testing the demo version of "Limiter 6 GE" (current version 1.2.4) and experience the same issue on "Cakewalk by BandLab" (build 28.02.0.039).
