How to programm volume and attack control for stringed instruments.

My goal is to have the mod wheel as volume control and velocity controlling the attack. What I'm aiming at is the way professional string libraries do it.

To achieve the first I do MIDI learn to the volume knob in "Sounds" which kind of works but is not saved within the tx-program, is there a better solution?

For the latter I have no idea how to do that in TX16w at all. Is it possible? The idea is that louder played notes come in faster than notes played with less velocity.

Last but not least, can I get rid of that legacy instance in Reapers FX Browser?

All these things are in the manual, but here we go; You want to set up modulation. All parameters you are asking about are available in the modulation table, as is mod wheel as source. For volume, the most direct approach is to set the base volume to zero or near zero, then map wheel to it, so given no mod wheel data/zero value you get no volume, high value - full volume. Same thing with attack: set attack to some higher value (x ms), then map velocity to attack speed; this will shorten attack when note on has higher vel.

Legacy VST3: settings. Turn off "enable legacy VST3".

Dear Elcallio

Thank you very much for the super fast reply.
Once you get that you use the modulation matrix for this, it's all so easy... I've learned!

Thanks again!
