App for inserting a VST plugin into the Windows audio stream?

Hi Folks,

Imagine this:

I use the aes/ebu output of my soundcard that feeds my D/A to my monitors.

Say i want to insert a VST plugin EQ to do some room EQ correction (at my listening position).

Anyone know of an app that can intercept the audio stream to do this?

The tricky part is: when i play out of Ableton, it's using the ASIO drivers.

But when i play out of Spotify, it doesn't use ASIO, it accesses the soundcard output directly (i guess).

So i'm looking for an app that'll somehow access the audio stream and let me insert a VST EQ.

By the way, i use a handy Spotify add-on called Equalify that lets me access a specific output from Spotify, otherwise it would just use the windows settings.

Any ideas?

Thanks!

* VB Voicemeeter + Equalizer APO

* DDMF Virtual Audio Steam

* A virtual audio cable + a standalone vst host of your choice
It`s not a bug... it`s a feature!

This is pretty cool (from the voicemeeter folks) - takes a few moments to setup, but very seamless after: https://vb-audio.com/Matrix/index.htm
