Hi. I've been experimenting a little in the Melody Editor, and wanted to set the shortest note length to be 1/8 notes to prevent it from getting too short. Hoping to do this without limiting the cool melody rhythm options too much.

Hi personbock!

In most cases shorter than 1/8 notes appear as a result of variations, especially "Connecting Notes". You can prevent this by setting the division of "Rhythm Displacement", "Connecting Notes" and "Lead-In Notes" to 1/8.
Unfortunately (and this should be fixed) there is no default setting for new variations: the division is set up randomly in the aforementioned variations for newly generated motives

Short notes may also appear when the "Density" is set to a high value under Generation Options / Rhythm.
