Cheap way to record vocal and classical guitar simultaneously at home

Hi there!

What is the best but cheap way to record vocal and classical guitar simultaneously at home without sound treated room? I sing and play guitar at the same time, recording both video and audio, then replacing audio-track in video. Firstly for audio I used to use just one condenser microphone for all. The sound was rather good, but there were a lot of early reflections, and there was only one recrorded track with vocal and guitar sound already mixed. Then I tried to use dinamic mic Shure SM58 for vocal and classical guitar with internal pickups to record it via line input directly to sound card. I got two tracks without reflections, but sound wasn't perfect, especially for guitar.

Is there some not expensive way to upgrade sound? Could classical guitar with internal pickups give good sound to line input, or the second Shure SM58 would be better?

Nothing wrong imho with the sound of the first video. It all sounds fine! A bit of room reflection sound is not as bad as you think.

In the second video: did you put any compression on the guitar? Try without that, it ruins it.

Yepp, as far as I remember, I used 8x compression trying to get some sustain from these nylon strings.

Yes, treat the room. That doesn't have to be expensive.

Personally, I would record the singing and the guitar separately so you can get the best quality recording of each. If you record both at once (with one microphone or two microphones - it doesn't matter), there's going to be sounds bleeding in, unfortunately.
