I was thinking attack/release. More traditional gain riding. Here's a simple patch that uses an offset to set the threshold and a comparator, slew limiter, and inverter to "gain ride" VCAs.

Nice patch. I see what your doing there. Simple and does the job.
I'm also thinking.... if you replace the slew limiter with an ADSR, you'd be able to control the attack and release separately, instead of one control for both.

Couldn't really get it work as well with the ADSR. The sound either clipped at the VCA or jumped around. I couldn't get it to clamp down like with the slew limiter. I think an envelope follower with just attack and release might be more intuitive since those are the timing controls on traditional compressors.
Edit: sorry for all the duplicates below.
Edit2: I added some patches to the dupes.

Interesting patch. Just in case you didn't know, There is an automatic polyphony system. Where you don't have to manually duplicate modules for each voice. Details here:Genetic_Junk wrote: ↑Thu Jan 25, 2024 12:44 am Duplicate

All you do really is create a mono sound, and then turn it polyphonic by choosing the number of voices in the menu then add the SD05 module connection. Sorry if this wasn't clear from the UI.

Thanks. The auto polyphonic mode is very convenient.S0lo wrote: ↑Thu Jan 25, 2024 10:12 amInteresting patch. Just in case you didn't know, There is an automatic polyphony system. Not sure if the S303 module is working as intended. The audio file below is a recording of the patch (linked below). The patch is just the S303 (white noise) to the SA02. I'm changing the oversampling factor while recording. Each change in the recorded noise corresponds to a change in the oversampling factor. I start with no oversampling and move through each factor. The project sample rate is 96Khz. Is this the intended output of the S303 module?

That’s definitely a bug there. I will be posting a bug fix for it very soon. God willing, within the next 48 hours.

So I just completed the bug fix, official links updated in first post. But a google drive link is probably faster to download, so here it is:
64bit: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1JfFl-F ... sp=sharing
32bit: https://drive.google.com/file/d/114KQas ... sp=sharing
Please let me know if further problems. Thanks by the way for pointing this out. This was a horrible bug.

Thought I'd make a rhythmic patch using the fixed S303.

Cool !!. Though I'm curious, around 15 seconds into the beat. There is this spasm like noise that sounds as if the bug wasn't fixed!!!. Or I'm guessing you just sampled the noise using the S315 and just replayed it ?
The noise out of the S303 should not sound repetitive or like an electric shock in any way. No matter what sampling rate or oversampling you use. It should sound always completely uniform and random. If it's not like that on your side, then the problem might still be there.
