Hi, can anyone shed some light how to make these two sounds:
1st appears at: 0:12

seems like some filter sweep, but I m not sure how to achieve the sound. Filter, sync, shape...?
2nd appears at 0:50

seems to be some kind of whoosh sound, followed by reverbed metallic snare?
And related to the second, how do you find samples that sit together well, is it really just trial and error, or is there some sort of pattern? These seem to both be higher pitched... other than that I don't see any resemblence.
'90s dance effects how to?

I found a certain effect in my sample collection and combined it with a long clap which is useful in trance music.
I think it's a bit similar to the second example.

The first one is a saw pitching down I would make it a supersaw and Low-Pass filter it to taste
Then a white noise sweep going up at the same time
