x-wof-6 , GhostMachine , DrumBurst are silent; am I missing something?

hi friends
am trying to use x-wof-6 , GhostMachine and Drumburst in both Reaper and vst Host under win10 64-bit; they are silent , while other hgFortune synths as well as earlier versions of x-wof (etc 4) do produce sound from the moment they're inserted.

anyone else encountered this behavior?
any help greatly appreciated
