wagtunes,
Now listening to "If Not For Low Class": a different sounding older piano for this song? It has an interesting sound, from the 1920's or 1930's? Or maybe I am entirely wrong, and it has to do with effects/distortion? I can picture this song in some type of musical theater. Nice vocals. As always, has very good melodies, and audio quality!

Thanks Aaron. The only piano I use is Pianoteq so it must be the FX I used for this one.

Will check out your latest now.

2nd track from my upcoming CD "Modern Times"

Classic Wagtunes

Stuck Between A Rock And A Hard Place

Here I sit I'm

Stuck between a rock and a hard place
Can't she see my face...crying over her everyday
Stuck between a rock and a hard place
Heading for last place..waiting for my true love to say

I'm the one she loves
Only me forever and ever
I'm the one she needs
She'll never leave...Oh no not ever

Repeat Chorus

It's been so long it seems
Since she told me that I'm her one guy
I don't know how long I can wait
For her to come before my heart will die

Repeat Chorus

This is it dear
When will you hear
My heart dying
While you're lying
How can I cope
End of my rope
No more waiting
I just can't go on

Repeat Chorus 2x

Stuck between a rock and a hard place
Can't she see my face...crying over her everyday
Stuck between a rock and a hard place
Heading for last place..waiting for my true love to say
She loves me

wagtunes,
Listening to "Rock And a Hard Place": reminds me of a cross between the Beatles (piano) and ELO (the strings)(a compliment!). Nice vocals. Everything instrumental sounds/audio quality sounds very good! Very good melodies per usual. Nice song! :)

3rd track from my upcoming CD "Modern Times"

Modern Times

You think you're cool...well you don't know jack
You wear that nerd look all over your back
The girls are laughing cause you are a square
You wanna meet 'em but you just don't dare

You gotta get with those modern times
The way you look is a crime
You gotta get with those modern times
Then those girls will get some meat that's prime
Be the meat

Your hairs a mess...Don't you own a comb
It ain't no wonder that you are alone
Your clothes are rags right out of the trash
Go get a job so you can make cash

Repeat Chorus

Instrumental Break

Repeat Chorus

I hope you listened...this is your last chance
To get that girl for a romantic dance
Sometimes you only get one shot my friend
Or else she'll fast slip away at the end

Repeat Chorus

I listened to "Modern Times" which is amusing and entertaining. :) The vocal treatment was different and worked very well.

I thought the snare sound could be crisper. FYI, there is some sort of rhythmic hiccup at 3:19.

Nice job overall. :tu:

Thanks Franz. I'm surprised there's only one hiccup. I didn't quantize this song like I usually do. I wanted it to be loose. I guess maybe it was too loose at 3:19. The drums were gated heavily so that's why the mushy snare. Again, was trying something different with this one. The jury here is still out as to whether this song worked or not.

wagtunes,
Listening to "Modern Times": starts nicely with piano, and that sax is really good! Oww! Very nice melodies per usual. Nice crunchy drums. I like it! :)

Hey Aaron, thanks for the listen. I just wanted to do something a little silly. Will go check out your offering for the month next.

Thanks Aaron. Actually, that's a pretty old episode. I haven't been keeping up with my postings.

Love the intro and brass parts.
The verses fit well with the chorus, with an inventive twist at the end of the chorus!
    Mixing was good.
    Well done, sir.

Hey, thanks for the listen and the feedback. I was really just messing around with this one. I'm trying a new song structure that I'll explain someday. It's going to take me some time to get used to it.

I wasn't going to upload these songs because I was planning on selling this CD with the release of the Leeches episode from my sitcom Timeshare. But since the TV series is such a huge failure, I figured nobody was going to buy the CD. So here it is in its entirety. It's essentially a Beatles parody CD.

Hope you like it. All comments are welcome.
