I’m pretty sure he was trolling with the title. I would probably bet he used FM8 using one operator and unison modulating feedback.

Are you sure he didn't use Strobe? As far as I know, he made pretty heavy use of the fxpansion synths for some time.

Err... There's more than one sound in that track....

Is it a particular sound you are talking about? The resonant tones, the plucks, the piano...?

I'm sure he used strobe for at least part of the track, probably the plucks? There stuff on the internet with him and a pre release version with a very basic gui.

I've seen several Youtube tutorials that did a good job recreating it.

You don’t need YouTube tutorials. It’s himself opening the Live session on his livestream and you can clearly see most things he used. Main synth is Strobe. Bass is Reaktor. Check YouTube or his Twitch. There is a livestream where he opens many old traxx
