This is really strange... James Hype just takes an old vocal sample from the band "Jodeci", puts it into a AI vocal tool which outputs the same lyrics but with another voice and uses it one his new track without giving credits (no meachanical sure, but for the unchanged lyrics).

Is this really the (AI) future?

Yep, adapt. Unless one has been living under a rock, hip hop/RnB has been using other peoples' work for years and there have been many copyright issues along the way.
Anyhow, since the dawn of rock n roll, everybody rips everybody off. Musicians are the biggest thieves in art so if AI allows their work to get stolen, good. Musicians deserve to get ripped off.

let's see him try it on an act with lawyering money or a label that's spending or making serious money on that artist. then we'll talk legal precedent.Chamar wrote: ↑Sun Mar 24, 2024 12:45 pm This is really strange... Oh yeah I've seen at least 2 websites where you pay like $10, input your lyrics and can choose who sings it. And I'm talking like Rihanna, Drake, Ariana Grande, they got them all. Is this legal? Questionable unless said artists got paid for it.
