Stepic CPU Usage

This is a great sequencer vst and the developer was really helpful when I installed it.

But now I noticed it is using an enormous amount of CPU. It has been updated since I first used/bought it and I haven't used it in a little while, but as it stands the CPU load is so huge that I really cannot use it. I don't know if it's some settings I need to tweak, or how the VST now works, or if my machine just isn't built for it (it was).

Anything I can look at to change this?
