that's where Loser's posted his beta
There really aren't so many transient plugs.
TransientGate
TranSwitcher03
are the only 2 obscure one I can think of.

For smooth stuff and eye candy, i take the FLux.
For Squarepusher-esque beat mangling on amen breaks, the goodold DOminion is just fine, and i also like to mess around with the Stillwell Transient Monster.
I am using the MGA Transhaper for nice surprising mid/side things : on stereo drums, using the mid to trigger the side is just plain joy
It can seem a bit tricky to have so many different ones, but on the same material, they can sound quite different, too... So it is only a matter of some kb on a hardrive, shaped into a simple .dll
Oh ! And i almost forgot : Schwa's Dyno is really awesome on anytthing. Be sure to give it a good try.
Has anyone tried this one ? I don't really feel like spending 50 box for something i have (better) for free, but i'm quite curious, evenb if not feeling a warm hype around it...

I've never used this, but there's Envelope Designer which is free, at http://www.braindoc.de. Click the "VST" button on the left and scroll down. I'd give a direct link but it's a frame-based site and the plugin's frame doesn't have a download link or any other nav links.
Personally I've used Dominion to heat up the attacks on an electric violin. It was a subtle application but I liked the results.

You might want to test this one, just released and announced today, for PC VST (AU coming soon according to the developer).
I tried it today, it's easy to use and it works great.
The developer is reponsive, because I emailed him to know more, and I got a reply in less than 15 minutes .
And I may add that it's clearly not expensive (€49).

I'm a little surprised at what he's charging for this, considering the competition, and the lack of features. I tried it, it sounds good, but really could use a post-gain control; it gets loud as hell quickly!K-Slash wrote:You might want to test this one, just released and announced today, for PC VST (AU coming soon according to the developer).

It works good in the extremes but when everything is at zero it alters the sound to quite some extent.sinkmusic wrote:Has anyone tried this one ? I don't really feel like spending 50 box for something i have (better) for free, but i'm quite curious, evenb if not feeling a warm hype around it...
With such great free competition I don't see the need to get me this different flavour for that money.

This is the best one IMHO. By far the cleanest and most "musical". Well worth a try. Lets hope he makes a nice skin for it and keeps the price down.runagate wrote:http://www.kvraudio.com/forum/viewtopic ... 26#2910912

You can be sure Transient Shaper does not alter the sound when everything is at 0. When everything is at 0, it just bypasses the sound without processing it. To reset the knobs to zero, hold CTRL and press left mouse button on any of the knobs. Holding Shift while turning allows greater adjustment precision.shogger wrote:It works good in the extremes but when everything is at zero it alters the sound to quite some extent. With such great free competition I don't see the need to get me this different flavour for that money.
