So then....the installer knows where the data folder should be, but is unable to put in into the right area? Interesting set up. :dog: I've contacted Plugin Alliance support(but since Native Instruments owns it...I don't expect them to resolve this issue.)
Had I known Native Instruments was behind this beforehand, I would have NEVER even considered buying Thorn.

It does sound superb. Probably one of the best Software Synths I've ever heard. Who cares who sells it

It's so cheap that I think it almost devalues it for some people. I got it for free when I bought Komplete and must admit that I just looked at initially as bloat that I wouldn't touch. It does sound pretty great though. I find the glitch sequencer hard to tame, similar to Tantra actually.

Thorn is a very nice synth. Here's something I did when I first got it when it came out:

here's my entry in the KVR challenge.
Thorn only, no external effects except a main bus limiter shaving off 1 db or so.

Yep. Thanks to KVR I have been made aware of the synth because generally I avoid to clutter too much with cheap average/low quality stuffs.
But this synth is 100% premium at a cheap price.

Comparable to Loom II to me, always on sale, but a fantastic synth. In the case of Loom the developers have all but abandoned it, Dmitry OTOH had Apple Silicon versions ready before the rest of PA and was forced to hand it out on the sly while they caught up.. roundabout way of saying that PA tends to devalue great products by their constant sales etc.

Yeah I am not even looking at PA in general ...

Knifonium and Lion are both worth a look too, more specialized than Thorn though.

I had Thorn before Dmitry outsourced its distribution to Plugin Alliance. When he did so I subscribed to PA to be able to receive updates.

I rarely buy from PA because they do not have many other instrument plugins. And I really don't need hundreds of different mastering tools.

Thorn installed its Data in my Documents folder in a folder named Dmitry Sches. (I have Tantra also, so Tantra & Thorn stuff is in there.)

Sorry, but I’m of the opinion that you are one channel strip away from getting a hit song.

I think Thorn sounds fantastic and is maybe the only one I've across that gets close to the sound quality of Harmor, which I think is amazing but no vst3 and fl only now.

My one problem with it is how the drop down menus work. Third generally works great on a miltitouch screen but when you hit the waveform drop downs, the menu pops open wherever the mouse pointer was last and then isnreally hard to select a menu item. Even worse with pen. Kind if unusable with both. Never seen that problem with any other plugin. It's weird that the menus open in different positions depending on where you click. I wish they just used normal drop down menu components like everyone else.
