So maybe then AudioDamage Tatoo? 69 Dollars.braj wrote:I think that is a little overkill too maybe, price and feature-wise. I was looking at Drumaxx @ $99 is more in the ballpark but I'm not thrilled about how it handles patterns, I would rather export to the piano roll. I dunno what I'm a gonna do but no rush. I'm playing with the Drumaxx demo now.breakmixer wrote:My fave drum machine is Poise, but you said it's not what you are looking for, does this fit your needs...?

may be out of your price range though...

For anyone who is interested.
I have a boxed version of iDrum to sell if anyone wants to buy. Easy to transfer, no licence fee (UK only). pm me if interested.
I got Geist CM, it was about November last year. Does everything for me. Try and order a back copy.

O that looks interesting, the price is right and it looks like what I want without much else, which is good. Midi out to other VSTs, TR-style matrix, easy velocity drawing, randomization features.... I am liking that, downloading the demo. Thanks for the suggestion! Just one question, where's the demo?Igro wrote:So maybe then AudioDamage Tatoo? 69 Dollars.braj wrote:I think that is a little overkill too maybe, price and feature-wise. Well here's the answer:
We don't offer demos of our products. We could offer all kinds of reasoning for this, based upon our lengthy experience in the music software industry, with amusing anecdotes and such, but the simple fact of the matter is that we don't, and will not for the foreseeable future. We offer a no-questions-asked money back guarantee instead.
So I guess I will have to watch all the videos I can find. Anyhow I have time before I buy, no money makes patience inevitable

I have iDrum and Tattoo and use iDrum more. The only reason for this is Tattoo doesn't import wav files.

You beat me to it So can anyone tell about the stability and user-friendliness of the plug? How easy is it to map its output to midi channels, ie. have its drums correspond to GM map so it can drive another module that may not be re-mappable easily? I know this is an electronic kit and I want to drive acoustic drums.jethrobull wrote:Unfortunately Audio Damage dont do Demo's.

To be honest my experience running tattoo (in reaper) is buggy! Also i have Emailed support on numerous occasions with no reply. The plug is cool if/when you finally get it up and running but the support is not the best to say the least.Anyway if your after something you can load your own kits into well dont bother with this.

I would be cool just bypassing its internal sounds and driving something else via midi, which Reaper handles nicely, but hearing it is buggy in Reaper makes me think twice.jethrobull wrote:To be honest my experience running tattoo (in reaper) is buggy! It also has no midi export of patterns, which is a drag. No not exactly perfect.

This is why a DEMO would be great.Bypassing the internal sounds would be the best idea. Its very user friendly, easy to use, just as easy as iDrum and a cool step seq and easy on the wallet. Why not have a scout on here for it?I picked it up from here for £25.braj wrote:I would be cool just bypassing its internal sounds and driving something else via midi, which Reaper handles nicely, but hearing it is buggy in Reaper makes me think twice.jethrobull wrote:To be honest my experience running tattoo (in reaper) is buggy! Yeah it is audiodamage's precognitive to not offer a demo but it doesn't build confidence in their products. There are so many hosts and compatability scenarios and I don't care how much someone says 'hassle free refund' just going through the process to demo it is a big hassle to me.

If you bypass the internal sounds, how many modulation parameters are also bypassed? I would hope at least velocity remains.

Sounds like we are after the same thing!! Maybe a mix of iDrum,Tattoo and FX unit glued onto it would be my perfect DrumSamplerSequencinq machine??
