Way better, but I don't like the flat look. I guess the GUI is all vectorial now?

Major part of it, yes. Edit mode still has raster graphics (I assume this is up for scraps and going flat for Kontakt 6, but we'll see).

And, here's a comparison between K5.6.6 and Falcon. Black keys better on Kontakt by far.

I can't understand why devs do this? Take away a function that the userbase didn't ask for. Must be Marketing lingo

So, so happy to see this make a return!!

Yes, terrible decision to remove them. Terrible. I hope the dev team gets an opportunity to rub it in the face of whomever signed off on removing it.
