when i rename fl studio finds the instances but sadly the sounds sound different.
I'm afraid not :( The different sound comes from bugs that were fixed. If you do not want to adjust your instruments, you should probably stay with the old version.
ouch :( well it's only 1 snare which clicks for me so i need to check if i can replace it with the new version somehow.
You should be able to use both versions in the same project as they have different names I think. Just use the new beta for the snare, and the old one for the other sounds.

Well that is no surprise when I look at the noise frequency knob. It's much higher in the second image, so what I hear matches that.

this is relevant if I am to share any patches from this OSC. Is anyone else experiencing this?
When I load a patch which I have previously saved into a new instance of tunefish the waveform is changed. Usually the points have moved a bit and the waveform flattened. (Also a few of the parameters may be slightly altered)

I have a couple of screenshots to demonstrate but don't know how to show them here so:-

https://www.dropbox.com/s/0xkfgl7xa13b5 ... hsave1.jpg
https://www.dropbox.com/s/73b8kq7oab5sh ... hload1.jpg

When saving the project in cubase the parameters are all saved ok on the track. Its just the patches saved within tunefish
Okay, it's taken a while, but no bug is forgotten. I think I got the second half of that bug now. The fact that some knobs change just a tiny bit after a reload of the instruments.

Here's the fix:

http://tunefish-synth.com/beta17/vst24_tf3_x64.zip
http://tunefish-synth.com/beta17/vst24_tf3_x86.zip

I suppose this is the last fix I get to make until the deadline. But if anything else is there which needs an urgent fix, let me know :) Maybe I can squeeze one more in. I know there have been a couple of requests I could not implement yet (auto gain and negative modulation matrix value are 2 that come to my mind) but these stay on my todo list!

Cubase saves presets as VST3 presets,

1) Find the Presets
Usually VST3 presets are found here:
C:\Users\[your windows user name]\Documents\VST3 Presets\Brain Control\vst_tf3

2) Convert the presets to FXP
Go there and drag and drop your desired vst3 presets into fxtractor: https://code.google.com/p/fxtractor

Then zip those up and share them, hopefully that helps?

Still working on the tune. Thanks for looking out for me though :)

I just could not find enough free time to finish my entry for this month's OSC. :(

In the spirit of sharing, I have uploaded my custom presets to the KVR Tunefish presets page. :)

I hope more folks will submit their custom presets for Tunefish. :borg:

Good luck to all entrants -- I look forward to the voting phase! :wheee:

Cheers.
Tony

Cheers a lot for the submissions and the spirit with which the synth issues were met throughout the competition, very nice. :) Especially the comment about helping a synth develop being as satisfying as competing. :tu:

And of course to Christian AKA Payne for the synth and prompt updates etc. Well done.

Thanks bjporter :)

But somehow when I did like you guided me and I dropped vstprests to fxtractor program. Fxtractor just converts my every Tunefish vstpresets to fxb no fxp. Can you tell me what I did wrong :? ?

Cool tracks again, this little synth can make quite diverse sounds :)
Uploaded a preset bank, made it with and older beta though so maybe it doesn't quite sound like intended in newer versions... Does anyone know if that makes a big difference? May go back and try to update them if that's the case..

Sad not to be in the game this month... I just couldn't get anything out of Tunefish that I liked. About ten different false starts... then I figured that nobody could possibly get a decent sound with it. And now look what y'all did...

Hey, I FIGURED IT OUT!!

Ok, so apparently each patch in tunefish 3 is actually a bank. So what you should do is save all your patches in the first few slots of Tunefish. Then save that preset as 'OSC bank' and then use fxtractor to convert to FXB.

Then people can load the fxb and get all the patches. Please test first though :)

You can optionally use http://www.tobybear.de/p_minihost.html
to rename the patch names.

Good luck!
