KVRers,
I was thinking of getting a padKontrol to program some beats, but I also want the software to auto-quantize the beats I record in realtime. That way if I am 'off' by a fraction the host will sync it up to the bpm in realtime. I would love to do this in FL Studio, Live or SX... but I'm not sure offhand which can do it.
What host has Realtime Auto Quantize?

Good question, I have no idea.stefancrs wrote:what should it do with notes that are a fraction too _late_ ?
I was more interested in what the hype was with things like the AKAI MPC 2000. Someone was telling me it would auto-quantize notes as you played. Supposedly, it would also do things like let you hold down a pad (like a hi-hat) and have it repeat that note in sync with the BPM.
Basically I wondered how close to MPC style programming someone could get with something like a Korg padKontrol or a M-Audio Trigger Finger. I figured that the controller was just one piece, that I also needed to find the best software to really take advantage of it.
