Bad english language.

Soft song.
Only a slow pop song with sad and strange guitars.
Guillemette, a girl that I knew is dead by thunderbolt, in 2005.
Song writed looking a photography. She's walking with her little daughter thru a Carnaval feast.
Fretless bass by Edouard.

Lyrics

Couplet 1

Refrain 2
Elle fait, elle fait des pas,
Qui vont vers où,
Qui vont vers quoi ?
Elle fait des pas…

Elle fait des pas,
Qui vont vers quoi ?

Elle fait, elle fait des pas,
Qui vont vers où,
Qui vont vers quoi ?
Elle fait des pas…

My french is not good enough to understand the lyrics, but I understand the music perfectly. This is outstanding. Perfect song, perfect arrangement.

Compliments.

This is a very sorrowful, but also a very beautiful and moving song. Although I can't speak the french.

another great song with melancholic beauty :)

this time i'm reminded of some of the music released on tricatel (producer bertrand burgalat's label). there are a number of interesting singer songwriters it recalls; louis philipe, czerkinsky, arnold turboust all of whom (apart from singing in french) write some rather delicate and haunting songs at times.

don't know if that's a welcome reference but, after hearing this stirring piece by you, i had to go and dig out their albums which i haven't listened to for a few years. 8)

i hope the next song isn't happy - i'm all for this sad beauty!

Très beau et très poignant.

De la sensibilité, de la pudeur, et surtout la restitution d'une émotion très forte, très bien rendue par le rythme des mots et de la musique.

Chapeau bas !

-sorry for non-French people here at KVR, but I prefer my first language to tell my emotion to a French-

Please, say me. I'm curious.
What is the feeling of a native english-speaking guy listening french lyrics ?
Are French lyrics strange ? Ridiculous ? Sweet ?
If I listen a german song, or english song, or spanish song, or chinese song, the musical feeling of the words is not the same for me.
Lyrics are a music on the music.

....not ridulous, not sweet.....french :D .....sounds 'softer' than english to me
I am absolutely useless at languages, tyranny of distance, but I can read between the lines

this is a lovely song.struck by lightening,I feel good you have done this. You are keeping her alive.

1 - French language is taught in many schools, and spoken by million people in the world. Spanish-speaking people, english/american-speaking people, chinese people... can now understand the lyrics of your song.

2- The feeling of these lyrics is an other problem. It's not knowledge, I'd call that 'culture'. I agree with you : "lyrics are lyrics on the music". So only a few people will feel your french lyrics with a strong intensity...
