I can't use this synth.

After finally getting the presets to load, I have other noises that are produced other than the patch sounds. The latest is an unwanted arpeggiated beat that sounds like a hand keeping time against one's leg. Now if you like that sound on every patch you dial up, then this is the synth for you.
I'm shelving it for now.

Thanks.
I'm not down on it. I just haven't had good results.
I imagine it is fun to play if you can get it to play.
Not much user support either.

Hmm, I had teething trouble at first but the more recent patch fixed any issues.
User support is usually pretty good, although I havn't been here fo rthe past 4months or so.
Are you using the full vers or the demo?

What's nfr?
I won one for giving the best answers on a survey ;-)
Should I try to load the update msi over the install?
I thought I did that on one of the prior installs, but maybe I did it out of order.
I guess I should look at available patches on their site unless you can tell me.
Thanks.

hi..
NFR means "not for resale"...you wouldnt be able to sell your copy..
...I downloaded the latest full installer, I didnt need to install any update, the only update that was available on their site was to update an older version to the same as the full install..
..id say your bug is a compatibility problem.. i cant get the standalone to work on my system as I said before...I guess they will get around to the bugs eventually..

Thanks. I don't think I got the standalone working either. I figured I hadn't spent enough time configuring it to my system.
I would think Windows XP and FLStudio 7 is a fairly common environment.
Maybe it's my Aardvark Direct Pro 24/96 soundcard.

For the record, I never had standalone working properly.
Once registered, I copied the dll into my vst folder and it ran sweet.
I used it in SX 2.xxx and in FL 6 under XPsp2 without drama.
I cant see how the Aardvark would pose a prob

Just got back from my weekend getaway, and while checking the forum messages saw that you are still having problems. If you're having noises while playing, let me ask the following questions:
1. Is that happening with the standalone or VST version?
2. What's the audio interface you are using? Is the driver ASIO or MME?
3. What's the hardware buffer size for the audio interface?
Best regards,
Bulent

One more thing, you have the latest version of SynthMaster, so you don't have to download and install an update.

Hi. I'm just trying to get vst version to work.
Aardvark Direct Pro 24/96 soundcard with ASIO driver (in FLStudio 7 ).
Buffer size currently 704.
Soundcard is set to turbo (may not work for all applications). I just turned that off. I'll see if it helps.
Thanks for checking in.

Try to set that buffer size to a multiple of 16, such as:
256, 512, 768
Then, you shouldn't hear any pops and clicks anymore!
