Here's the Code Audio page for it:
http://codeaudio.com/fat-ass/product_de ... burner.htm
You can still get the demo there, but it doesn't look like you can buy it anymore.

This VSTI had the best autostretch engine I've ever heard.
If someone happens to sells a Non registrered copy ... just let me know.

So it sounds perfect quality.
It's not doing proper timestretching.

Well in fact I never saw another VSTI that could stretch a natural drumloop while maintaining such "acoustic" feel and "organic" quality. And I didn't notice any changes in pitch while stretching to host tempo. (maybe the plug compensates pitch I don't know, is this what you mean ?)
Did you try it ttoz ?
If there's a better engine somewhere let me know. I use Cubase 4 browsing loops features nowadays and all I can say is that it's far beyond Beatburner quality in terms of stretching. (Specially on shaker loops for example wich turn in noisy things).
Cheers,

Yes I used to have it.
it didn't "stretch" to host tempo. It was not a timestretch as such.
I was freaking out myself how good the quality was until i realised it was just resampling

Mostly because...Lotuzia wrote:[If there's a better engine somewhere let me know. I use Cubase 4 browsing loops features nowadays and all I can say is that it's far beyond Beatburner quality in terms of stretching. (Specially on shaker loops for example wich turn in noisy things).
BeatBurner does not do stretching!
With regards to where you can buy BeatBurner... You currently can't but it will be available again soon.

And wether it does "academic" stretching or not is not my main concern (though usually it makes me feel better when I understand things about the engine ....)
But what it does (and other achieve with academic stretching) is more than OK in my souvenirs so ...............)
I CAN'T WAIT ( but I obviously will) and
THX FOR THAT
(Yep you have a fan there )

What it does is really quite simple.Lotuzia wrote:And wether it does "academic" stretching or not is not my main concern (though usually it makes me feel better when I understand things about the engine ....)
It's just a bunch of tuned (tuned by the note data) delays that create a kind of comb filtered effect. Te resulting sound is then passed through some DSP to make it sound a little more musical.
You can actually make it sound like poor quality stretching (1990's junglist stylee) with the right settings. If that's your bag!
It's funny actually, one of the comments I often hear is that it's a one trick pony... Yes it is! However, there are lots of different ways that one trick can be done and many ways of dressing that trick up.
It's great fun, even if it's not something you would use all the time.

Beatburner is one of those plugs that has pretty much constantly been on my list of plugs I'd like to get. But never did. IIRC, it didn't quite have the features I was looking for, but it was a helluva lot of fun. So this is good news for me, but I feel a little guilty.
the old free version may not work boots successfully on new generations of computers, instruments, and hardware
